¹³ So the Egyptians made the children of Israel ^(A)serve with ^[a]rigor.

¹⁴ And they ^(A)made their lives bitter with hard bondage—^(B)in mortar, in brick, and in all manner of service in the field. All their service in which they made them serve was with rigor.

⁴⁶ And ^(A)you may take them as an inheritance for your children after you, to inherit them as a possession; they shall be your permanent slaves. But regarding your brethren, the children of Israel, you shall not rule over one another with rigor.

⁵³ He shall be with him as a yearly hired servant, and he shall not rule with rigor over him in your sight.

^4 (A)The weak you have not strengthened, nor have you healed those who were sick, nor bound up the broken, nor brought back what was driven away, nor ^(B)sought what was lost; but with ^(C)force and ^[a]cruelty you have ruled them.
