Tinawag ng Diyos si Moises
3 Samantala, habang nagpapastol si Moises ng kawan ng biyenan niyang si Jetro na pari sa Midian, itinawid niya ang kawan sa gawing kanluran ng disyerto at nakarating siya sa Sinai,[a] ang Bundok ng Diyos. 2 Doon,(A) ang anghel ni Yahweh ay nagpakita sa kanya na parang apoy na nagmumula sa gitna ng isang mababang punongkahoy. Kitang-kita ni Moises na nagliliyab ang puno ngunit hindi nasusunog. 3 Kaya't nasabi niya sa kanyang sarili, “Nakakapagtaka naman ito! Titingnan ko ngang mabuti kung bakit hindi iyon natutupok gayong nagliliyab.”
4 Nang lalapit na si Moises, tinawag siya ni Yahweh buhat sa nagliliyab na punongkahoy, “Moises, Moises.”
“Ano po iyon?” sagot niya.
5 Sinabi ng Diyos, “Huwag kang lumapit. Hubarin mo ang iyong sandalyas sapagkat banal na lugar ang kinatatayuan mo. 6 Ako ang Diyos na sinamba ng iyong mga ninuno, ang Diyos ni Abraham, ni Isaac at ni Jacob.” Tinakpan ni Moises ang kanyang mukha sapagkat natatakot siyang tumingin sa Diyos.
7 Sinabi sa kanya ni Yahweh, “Nakita kong labis na pinahihirapan ng mga Egipcio ang aking bayan. Alam ko ang hirap na kanilang tinitiis at narinig ko ang kanilang pagdaing. 8 Kaya't bumabâ ako upang sila'y iligtas, ilabas sa Egipto at ihatid sa lupaing mainam, malawak, mayaman, at sagana sa lahat ng bagay. Ito'y ang lupain ng mga Cananeo, Heteo, Amoreo, Perezeo, Hivita at Jebuseo. 9 Naririnig ko nga ang pagdaing ng aking bayan at nakikita ko ang pang-aaping ginagawa sa kanila ng mga Egipcio. 10 Kaya't papupuntahin kita sa Faraon upang ilabas mo sa Egipto ang aking bayang Israel.”
11 Sumagot si Moises, “Sino po ako para humarap sa Faraon at ilabas ang bayang Israel mula sa Egipto?”
12 “Huwag kang mag-alala, hindi kita pababayaan. At ito ang magiging katibayan na ako ang nagsugo sa iyo: sa bundok ding ito sasambahin ninyo ako kapag nailabas mo na sa Egipto ang aking bayan,” sabi ng Diyos.
13 Sinabi(B) ni Moises, “Pupunta ako sa mga Israelita at sasabihin sa kanilang ako'y sinugo ng Diyos ng aming ninuno. Ngunit ano po ang sasabihin ko kung itanong nila kung sino ang nagsugo sa akin?”
14 Sinabi(C) ng Diyos, “Ako'y si Ako Nga.[b] Sabihin mo sa mga Israelita na sinugo ka ng Diyos na ang pangalan ay ‘Ako Nga’. 15 Sabihin mo sa kanila na sinugo ka ni Yahweh, ng Diyos ng inyong mga ninuno, ang Diyos nina Abraham, Isaac at Jacob. At ito ang pangalang itatawag nila sa akin magpakailanman. 16 Lumakad ka na at tipunin mo ang mga pinuno ng Israel. Sabihin mo sa kanilang nagpakita ako sa iyo, akong si Yahweh, ang Diyos ng inyong mga ninunong sina Abraham, Isaac at Jacob. Sabihin mong ako'y bumabâ at nakita ko ang ginagawa sa kanila ng mga Egipcio. 17 Dahil dito, ilalabas ko sila sa bansang iyon na nagpapahirap sa kanila. Dadalhin ko sila sa isang mayaman at masaganang lupain; ang lupain ng mga Cananeo, ng mga Heteo, ng mga Amoreo, ng mga Perezeo, ng mga Hivita at ng mga Jebuseo.
18 “Papakinggan ka ng aking bayan. Pagkatapos, isama mo ang mga pinuno ng Israel at pumunta kayo sa Faraon. Sabihin mong si Yahweh, ang Diyos ng mga Hebreo, ay nagpakita sa iyo at kayo'y maglalakbay ng tatlong araw papunta sa ilang upang maghandog sa akin. 19 Alam kong hindi siya papayag hangga't hindi siya ginagamitan ng kamay na bakal. 20 Kaya't paparusahan ko ang buong Egipto sa pamamagitan ng mga kababalaghan. Pagkatapos, papayagan na niya kayong umalis.”
21 Idinugtong(D) (E) pa ng Diyos, “Pagagaanin ko sa inyo ang loob ng mga Egipcio upang may madala kayo pag-alis. 22 Ang inyong mga kababaihan ay manghihingi ng damit, alahas na ginto o pilak sa kanilang mga Egipciong kapitbahay at sa sinumang Egipciong babaing kasama nila sa bahay. Ipasusuot ninyo ang mga ito sa inyong mga anak. Sa ganitong paraan ay mapapasa-inyo ang ari-arian ng mga Egipcio.”

Bog poziva Mojsija
3 Mojsije je čuvao stado svog tasta Jitra, koji je bio svećenik u zemlji Midjan. Poveo je stado kroz divljinu i došao do Božje planine Horeb[a]. 2 Ondje mu se ukazao BOŽJI predstavnik u plamenu vatre, usred grma.
Mojsije je gledao kako grm gori, ali ne sagorijeva. 3 Pomislio je: »Kakva čudesna pojava! Prići ću i pogledati zašto grm ne izgara.«
4 Kad je BOG vidio da je Mojsije prišao da pogleda, pozvao ga je iz grma: »Mojsije! Mojsije!«
Mojsije odgovori: »Evo me.«
5 »Ne prilazi bliže«, rekao je Bog. »Izuj obuću s nogu jer je mjesto na kojem stojiš sveto tlo.« 6 Zatim je rekao: »Ja sam Bog tvog oca, Bog Abrahamov, Bog Izakov i Bog Jakovljev.«
Nato je Mojsije zaklonio lice zato što se bojao gledati u Boga.
7 »Vidio sam jad svog naroda u Egiptu. Čuo sam njegov vapaj pod goničima robova. Znam za njegove patnje«, rekao je BOG. 8 »Zato sam sišao da ga spasim od Egipćana i da ga iz te zemlje odvedem u dobru i prostranu zemlju. Zemlja je to kojom teče med i mlijeko, gdje žive Kanaanci, Hetiti, Amorejci, Perižani, Hivijci i Jebusejci. 9 Znaj da su vapaji Izraelaca doprli do mene i da sam vidio kako ih tlače Egipćani. 10 A sad, hajde! Šaljem te faraonu, da moj narod, Izraelce, izvedeš iz Egipta.«
11 »Tko sam ja«, upita Mojsije Boga, »da idem faraonu i da Izraelce izvedem iz Egipta?«
12 »Ja ću biti s tobom«, odgovori mu Bog, »i to će ti biti znak da sam te poslao. Kad izvedem narod iz Egipta, štovat ćete me na ovoj planini.«
Božje ime
13 Potom Mojsije reče Bogu: »Ako odem Izraelcima i kažem: ‘Bog vaših predaka poslao me k vama’, a oni me pitaju: ‘Kako se zove?’, što da im odgovorim?«
14 »JA SAM KOJI JESAM«, rekao je Bog Mojsiju. »Ovako reci Izraelcima: ‘JA JESAM poslao me k vama.’« 15 Bog je dalje rekao Mojsiju: »Reci Izraelcima: ‘JAHVE[b], Bog vaših predaka, Bog Abrahamov, Bog Izakov i Bog Jakovljev, poslao me k vama’. To je moje ime zauvijek. Tako će me zvati u svim naraštajima. 16 Idi, okupi izraelske starješine i reci im: ‘Pokazao mi se JAHVE, Bog vaših predaka, Abrahamov, Izakov i Jakovljev Bog. Rekao je: »Promatrao sam vas i vidio što vam čine u Egiptu. 17 Odlučio sam vas izvesti iz nevolja u Egiptu u zemlju Kanaanaca, Hetita, Amorejaca, Perižana, Hivijaca i Jebusejaca. Zemlja je to kojom teče med i mlijeko.«’ 18 Starješine će te poslušati. Zatim idi s njima egipatskom kralju pa mu recite: ‘JAHVE, Bog Hebreja, sastao se s nama. Zato te molimo da nas pustiš da odemo tri dana hoda u pustinju, da prinesemo žrtve svome BOGU.’ 19 Znam da vas egipatski kralj neće pustiti ako ga ne prisili moćna ruka. 20 Zato ću ispružiti svoju ruku i udariti po Egiptu svim čudima koja ću učiniti. Nakon toga će vas pustiti. 21 Učinit ću da vam Egipćani budu naklonjeni pa nećete otići praznih ruku. 22 Neka svaka Izraelka od svojih susjeda Egipćana, od žena koje žive u njihovim kućama, zatraži srebra, zlata i odjeće. To stavite na svoje sinove i kćeri. Tako ćete oplijeniti Egipćane.«

3 Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God, even to Horeb.
2 And the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed.
3 And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt.
4 And when the Lord saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I.
5 And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground.
6 Moreover he said, I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God.
7 And the Lord said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows;
8 And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey; unto the place of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites.
9 Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel is come unto me: and I have also seen the oppression wherewith the Egyptians oppress them.
10 Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt.
11 And Moses said unto God, Who am I, that I should go unto Pharaoh, and that I should bring forth the children of Israel out of Egypt?
12 And he said, Certainly I will be with thee; and this shall be a token unto thee, that I have sent thee: When thou hast brought forth the people out of Egypt, ye shall serve God upon this mountain.
13 And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them?
14 And God said unto Moses, I Am That I Am: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I Am hath sent me unto you.
15 And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, the Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations.
16 Go, and gather the elders of Israel together, and say unto them, The Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, appeared unto me, saying, I have surely visited you, and seen that which is done to you in Egypt:
17 And I have said, I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt unto the land of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, unto a land flowing with milk and honey.
18 And they shall hearken to thy voice: and thou shalt come, thou and the elders of Israel, unto the king of Egypt, and ye shall say unto him, The Lord God of the Hebrews hath met with us: and now let us go, we beseech thee, three days' journey into the wilderness, that we may sacrifice to the Lord our God.
19 And I am sure that the king of Egypt will not let you go, no, not by a mighty hand.
20 And I will stretch out my hand, and smite Egypt with all my wonders which I will do in the midst thereof: and after that he will let you go.
21 And I will give this people favour in the sight of the Egyptians: and it shall come to pass, that, when ye go, ye shall not go empty.
22 But every woman shall borrow of her neighbour, and of her that sojourneth in her house, jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment: and ye shall put them upon your sons, and upon your daughters; and ye shall spoil the Egyptians.
