7 Il prit six cent chars d'élite, et tous les chars de l'Égypte; il y avait sur tous des combattants.
8 L'Éternel endurcit le coeur de Pharaon, roi d'Égypte, et Pharaon poursuivit les enfants d'Israël. Les enfants d'Israël étaient sortis la main levée.
9 Les Égyptiens les poursuivirent; et tous les chevaux, les chars de Pharaon, ses cavaliers et son armée, les atteignirent campés près de la mer, vers Pi Hahiroth, vis-à-vis de Baal Tsephon.

New International Version
7 He took six hundred of the best chariots,(A) along with all the other chariots of Egypt, with officers over all of them. 8 The Lord hardened the heart(B) of Pharaoh king of Egypt, so that he pursued the Israelites, who were marching out boldly.(C) 9 The Egyptians—all Pharaoh’s horses(D) and chariots, horsemen[a] and troops(E)—pursued the Israelites and overtook(F) them as they camped by the sea near Pi Hahiroth, opposite Baal Zephon.(G)
