¹⁵The Jews who were in Susa assembled also on the fourteenth day of the month Adar and killed ^(A)three hundred men in Susa, but ^(B)they did not lay their hands on the plunder.

¹⁶Now ^(C)the rest of the Jews who were in the king’s provinces ^(D)assembled, to defend their lives and ^[a]rid themselves of their enemies, and to kill seventy-five thousand of those who hated them; but they did not lay their hands on the plunder.

¹⁶^(A)Now the rest of the Jews who were in the king's provinces also ^(B)gathered to defend their lives, and got relief from their enemies and killed 75,000 of those who hated them, but they laid no hands on the plunder.

¹⁵The Jews in Susa came together on the fourteenth day of the month of Adar, and they put to death in Susa three hundred men, but they did not lay their hands on the plunder.^(A)

¹⁶Meanwhile, the remainder of the Jews who were in the king’s provinces also assembled to protect themselves and get relief^(B) from their enemies.^(C) They killed seventy-five thousand of them^(D) but did not lay their hands on the plunder.^(E)
