Esther 1:20-22
New American Standard Bible
20 When the king’s edict which he will make is heard throughout his kingdom, [a]great as it is, then (A)all women will give honor to their husbands, great and small.”
21 Now this word pleased the king and the officials, and the king did [b]as Memucan proposed. 22 So he sent letters to all the king’s provinces, (B)to each province according to its script and to every people according to their language, that every man was to (C)be the ruler in his own house and the one who speaks in the language of his own people.

20 Then when the king’s edict is proclaimed throughout all his vast realm, all the women will respect their husbands, from the least to the greatest.”
21 The king and his nobles were pleased with this advice, so the king did as Memukan proposed. 22 He sent dispatches to all parts of the kingdom, to each province in its own script and to each people in their own language,(A) proclaiming that every man should be ruler over his own household, using his native tongue.
