Ephesians 6:12-18

¹²For our battle is not against flesh^(A) and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities,^(B) against the world powers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil^(C) in the heavens.^(D) ¹³This is why you must take up the full armor^(E) of God, so that you may be able to resist^(F) in the evil day, and having prepared everything, to take your stand. ¹⁴Stand,^(G) therefore,

with truth^(H) like a belt around your waist,
righteousness^(I) like armor on your chest,^(J)
¹⁵and your feet sandaled with readiness
for the gospel of peace.^[a]
¹⁶In every situation take the shield^(K) of faith,^(L)
and with it you will be able to extinguish
all the flaming arrows of the evil one.^(M)
¹⁷Take the helmet^(N) of salvation,
and the sword^(O) of the Spirit,^(P)
which is God’s word.

¹⁸Pray^(Q) at all times in the Spirit^(R) with every prayer and request, and stay alert^(S) in this with all perseverance and intercession for all the saints.
