Thanksgiving and Prayer

¹⁵ For this reason, ^(A)because I have heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love^[a] toward all the saints, ¹⁶ I ^(B)do not cease to give thanks for you, ^(C)remembering you in my prayers, ¹⁷ that ^(D)the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, ^(E)may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him, ^18 (F)having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is ^(G)the hope to which he has called you, what are ^(H)the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, ¹⁹ and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, ^(I)according to the working of ^(J)his great might ²⁰ that he worked in Christ ^(K)when he raised him from the dead and ^(L)seated him at his right hand ^(M)in the heavenly places, ^21 (N)far above ^(O)all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above ^(P)every name that is named, not only in ^(Q)this age but also in the one to come. ²² And ^(R)he put all things under his feet and gave him as ^(S)head over all things to the church, ^23 (T)which is his body, ^(U)the fullness of him ^(V)who fills ^(W)all in all.

By Grace Through Faith

2 ^(X)And you were ^(Y)dead in the trespasses and sins ^2 (Z)in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following ^(AA)the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in ^(AB)the sons of disobedience— ³ among whom we all once lived in ^(AC)the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body^[b] and the mind, and ^(AD)were by nature ^(AE)children of wrath, like the rest of mankind.^{[c] 4} But^[d] God, being ^(AF)rich in mercy, ^(AG)because of the great love with which he loved us, ⁵ even ^(AH)when we were dead in our trespasses, ^(AI)made us alive together with Christ—^(AJ)by grace you have been saved— ⁶ and raised us up with him and ^(AK)seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, ⁷ so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable ^(AL)riches of his grace in ^(AM)kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. ⁸ For ^(AN)by grace you have been saved ^(AO)through faith. And this is ^(AP)not your own doing; ^(AQ)it is the gift of God, ^9 (AR)not a result of works, ^(AS)so that no one may boast. ¹⁰ For ^(AT)we are his workmanship, ^(AU)created in Christ Jesus ^(AV)for good works, ^(AW)which God prepared beforehand, ^(AX)that we should walk in them.
