⁴ If the ruler’s ^[a]temper rises against you, ^(A)do not abandon your place, because ^(B)composure puts great offenses to rest.

³⁶ But I tell you that for every ^[a]careless word that people ^[b]speak, they will give an account of it on the ^(A)day of judgment.

⁴ and there must be no ^(A)filthiness ^[a]or foolish talk, or vulgar joking, which ^(B)are not fitting, but rather ^(C)giving of thanks.

⁸ But now you also, ^(A)rid yourselves of all of them: ^(B)anger, wrath, malice, slander, and ^(C)obscene speech from your mouth.
