7 Israel gjorde det som var ont i Herrens ögon. De glömde Herren, sin Gud, och tjänade baalerna och aserorna. 8 Då upptändes Herrens vrede mot Israel, och han sålde dem i Kusan-Risatajims hand, kungen i Aram-Naharajim. Och Israels barn tjänade Kusan-Risatajim i åtta år. 9 Men Israels barn ropade till Herren, och Herren lät då en frälsare uppstå bland dem som räddade dem, nämligen Otniel, son till Kenas, Kalebs yngre bror.

They (B)forgot the Lord their God, and served the Baals and [a]Asherahs. 8 Therefore the anger of the Lord was hot against Israel, and He (C)sold them into the hand of (D)Cushan-Rishathaim king of Mesopotamia; and the children of Israel served Cushan-Rishathaim eight years. 9 When the children of Israel (E)cried out to the Lord, the Lord (F)raised up a deliverer for the children of Israel, who delivered them: (G)Othniel the son of Kenaz, Caleb’s younger brother.

8 Therefore the anger of the Lord was hot against Israel, and he sold them into the hand of Chushanrishathaim king of Mesopotamia: and the children of Israel served Chushanrishathaim eight years.
9 And when the children of Israel cried unto the Lord, the Lord raised up a deliverer to the children of Israel, who delivered them, even Othniel the son of Kenaz, Caleb's younger brother.
