²³ At Kadesh-barnea, when the Lord told you to enter the land he had given you, you rebelled and wouldn’t believe that he would help you; you refused to obey him. ²⁴ Yes, you have been rebellious against the Lord from the first day I knew you. ²⁵ That is why I fell down before him for forty days and nights when the Lord was ready to destroy you.
