²³ But the Lord your God will deliver them over to you, and will inflict defeat upon them until they are destroyed.

²⁴ And ^(A)He will deliver their kings into your hand, and you will destroy their name from under heaven; ^(B)no one shall be able to stand ^[a]against you until you have destroyed them.

²³ So Joshua took the whole land, ^(A)according to all that the Lord had said to Moses; and Joshua gave it as an inheritance to Israel ^(B)according to their divisions by their tribes. Then the land ^(C)rested from war.

⁴ And now the Lord your God has given ^(A)rest to your brethren, as He promised them; now therefore, return and go to your tents and to the land of your possession, ^(B)which Moses the servant of the Lord gave you on the other side of the Jordan.
