⁷ For what great nation is there that has a god near to it as the Lord our God is to us whenever we call to him?^(A)

²³ ‘Am I a God who is only near’^(A) – this is the Lord’s declaration – ‘and not a God who is far away? ²⁴ Can a person hide in secret places where I cannot see him? ’^(B) – the Lord’s declaration. ‘Do I not fill the heavens and the earth? ’^(C) – the Lord’s declaration.

¹⁷ although he did not leave himself without a witness,^(A) since he did what is good by giving you rain from heaven and fruitful seasons^(B) and filling you with food and your hearts with joy.’
