⁴⁸ This land went from Aroer, on the edge of the Arnon ·Ravine [Wadi], to Mount Hermon. ⁴⁹ It included all the ·Jordan Valley [^LArabah] ·east of [beyond] the Jordan River, and it went as far as the ·Dead [^LSalt] Sea below Mount Pisgah.
