²⁶ I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you today that you will quickly perish^(A) from the land you are about to cross the Jordan to possess. You will not live long there, but you will certainly be destroyed.

²⁷ Therefore the Lord’s anger burned against this land, and he brought every curse written in this book on it.

²⁶ In spite of all that, the Lord did not turn from the fury of his intense burning anger, which burned against Judah because of all the affronts with which Manasseh had angered him.^(A)
