8 And the Israelites[a] wept concerning Moses thirty days; finally the days of weeping and mourning for Moses were completed.
9 Now[b] Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom because Moses had placed his hands on him, and the Israelites[c] listened to him, and they did as Yahweh had commanded Moses. 10 And not again[d] has a prophet arisen in Israel like Moses, whom Yahweh knew[e] face to face,

8 The Israelites grieved for Moses in the plains of Moab(A) thirty days,(B) until the time of weeping and mourning(C) was over.
9 Now Joshua son of Nun was filled with the spirit[a] of wisdom(D) because Moses had laid his hands on him.(E) So the Israelites listened to him and did what the Lord had commanded Moses.
10 Since then, no prophet(F) has risen in Israel like Moses,(G) whom the Lord knew face to face,(H)
