^14 (A)The anger of the Lord burned against Israel, and He gave them into the hands of plunderers who plundered them; and ^(B)He sold them into the hands of their enemies around them, so that they could no longer stand before their enemies.

⁸ Then the anger of the Lord was kindled against Israel, so that He sold them into the hands of Cushan-rishathaim king of ^[a]Mesopotamia; and the sons of Israel served Cushan-rishathaim eight years.

³ For thus says the Lord, “You were ^(A)sold for nothing and you will be ^(B)redeemed ^(C)without money.” ⁴ For thus says the Lord ^[a]God, “My people ^(D)went down at the first into Egypt to reside there; then the Assyrian oppressed them without cause.
