Deuteronomy 32:15-17

¹⁵ “But Jeshurun grew fat and kicked. You are fat, you are thick, you are engorged with fatness. Therefore, he forsook God, Who made him, and did not regard the strong God of his salvation.

¹⁶ “They provoked Him with strange gods. They provoked Him to anger with abominations.

¹⁷ “They offered to demons, not to God, to gods whom they did not know, newcomers, whom their fathers did not fear.
