30 ‘When all these things happen to you – the blessings and curses I have set before you – and you come to your senses while you are in all the nations where the Lord your God has driven you,(A) 2 and you and your children return to the Lord your God and obey him with all your heart and all your soul(B) by doing[a] everything I am commanding you today, 3 then he will restore your fortunes,[b](C) have compassion on you, and gather you again from all the peoples where the Lord your God has scattered you.(D)

11 For I know the plans I have for you’(A) – this is the Lord’s declaration – ‘plans for your well-being, not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. 12 You will call to me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.(B) 13 You will seek me(C) and find me when you search for me with all your heart. 14 I will be found by you’ – this is the Lord’s declaration – ‘and I will restore your fortunes[a](D) and gather you from all the nations and places where I banished you’ – this is the Lord’s declaration. ‘I will restore you to the place from which I deported you.’(E)

Restoration from Captivity
30 This is the word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord. 2 ‘This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: Write on a scroll all the words that I have spoken to you,(A) 3 for look, the days are coming’ – this is the Lord’s declaration – ‘when I will restore the fortunes[a] of my people Israel and Judah,’(B) says the Lord. ‘I will restore them to the land I gave to their ancestors and they will possess it.’
