⁴⁴ They will lend to you, but you will not lend to them.^(A) They will be the head, but you will be the tail.^(B)

¹⁹ Then the land will yield its fruit,^(A) and you will eat your fill and live there in safety.^(B)

³ You may require payment from a foreigner,^(A) but you must cancel any debt your fellow Israelite owes you.

⁶ For the Lord your God will bless you as he has promised, and you will lend to many nations but will borrow from none. You will rule over many nations but none will rule over you.^(A)

²⁶ I will make them and the places surrounding my hill a blessing.^[a](A) I will send down showers in season;^(B) there will be showers of blessing.^(C)
