36 From Aroer, which is by the bank of the river of Arnon, and from the city that is upon the river, even unto Gilead: there was not one city that escaped us: for the Lord our God delivered up all [a]before us.
37 Only unto the land of the children of Ammon thou camest not, nor unto any place of the [b]river Jabbok, nor unto the cities in the mountains, nor unto whatsoever the Lord our God forbade us.
