Deuteronomy 17:6-8
New American Standard Bible
6 (A)On the [a]testimony of two witnesses or three witnesses, the [b]condemned shall be put to death; he shall not be put to death on the [c]testimony of only one witness. 7 (B)The hands of the witnesses shall be first against him to put him to death, and afterward the hands of all the people. (C)So you shall eliminate the evil from your midst.
8 “(D)If a case is too difficult for you to decide, between [d]one kind of homicide or another, between [e]one kind of lawsuit or another, and between [f]one kind of assault or another, that are cases of dispute in your [g]courts, then you shall arise and go up to (E)the place which the Lord your God chooses.
