New International Version

⁴ This was after he had defeated Sihon^(A) king of the Amorites,^(B) who reigned in Heshbon,^(C) and at Edrei had defeated Og^(D) king of Bashan, who reigned in Ashtaroth.^(E)

⁵ East of the Jordan in the territory of Moab,^(F) Moses began to expound this law, saying:
