¹⁸ I will raise up a prophet from among their brothers like you, and ^(A)I will put My words in his mouth, and ^(B)he shall speak to them all that I command him. ^19 (C)And it will be that whoever will not listen to My words which he shall speak in My name, I Myself will require it of him. ²⁰ But the prophet who speaks a word ^(D)presumptuously in My name which I have not commanded him to speak, or ^(E)which he speaks in the name of other gods, ^[a]that prophet shall die.’ ²¹ Now ^[b]you may say in your heart, ‘How will we know the word which Yahweh has not spoken?’ ^22 (F)When a prophet speaks in the name of Yahweh, if the thing does not come about or come true, that is the thing which Yahweh has not spoken. The prophet has spoken it ^(G)presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him.

⁴⁵ Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father; the one who accuses you is ^(A)Moses, in whom you have set your hope. ⁴⁶ For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me, for ^(B)he wrote about Me. ⁴⁷ But ^(C)if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe My words?”

^47 (A)He who is of God hears the words of God; for this reason you do not hear them, because you are not of God.”
