¹⁹ They call peoples to the mountain;
    there they offer the right sacrifices,
for they suck the affluence of the seas
    and the hidden treasures of the sand.”^(A)

⁵ Then you shall see and be radiant;
    your heart shall thrill and rejoice,^[a]
because the abundance of the sea shall be brought to you;
    the wealth of the nations shall come to you.^(A)

⁵ Offer right sacrifices,
    and put your trust in the Lord.^(A)

³     Many peoples shall come and say,
“Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord,
    to the house of the God of Jacob,
that he may teach us his ways
    and that we may walk in his paths.”
For out of Zion shall go forth instruction
    and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.^(A)

¹⁶ For you have no delight in sacrifice;
    if I were to give a burnt offering, you would not be pleased.^(A)
17 The sacrifice acceptable to God^[a] is a broken spirit;
    a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.^(B)

¹³ Do I eat the flesh of bulls
    or drink the blood of goats?
¹⁴ Offer to God a sacrifice of thanksgiving,^[a]
    and pay your vows to the Most High.^(A)
15 Call on me in the day of trouble;
    I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me.”^(B)

¹⁷ You brought them in and planted them on the mountain of your own possession,
    the place, O Lord, that you made your abode,
    the sanctuary, O Lord, that your hands have established.^(A)
