²⁵ Let me cross over to see the good land beyond the Jordan, that good hill country and the Lebanon.’

²¹ “The Lord was angry with me because of you, and he vowed that I should not cross the Jordan and that I should not enter the good land that the Lord your God is giving for your possession.^{(A) 22} For I am going to die in this land without crossing over the Jordan, but you are going to cross over to take possession of that good land.^(B)

⁶ On that day I swore to them that I would bring them out of the land of Egypt into a land that I had searched out for them, a land flowing with milk and honey, the most glorious of all lands.^(A)

¹¹ But the land that you are crossing over to occupy is a land of hills and valleys watered by rain from the sky,^{(A) 12} a land that the Lord your God looks after. The eyes of the Lord your God are always on it, from the beginning of the year to the end of the year.

⁵ They continued, “If we have found favor in your sight, let this land be given to your servants for a possession; do not make us cross the Jordan.”

⁸ and I have come down to deliver them from the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land to a good and spacious land, to a land flowing with milk and honey, to the country of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites.^(A)
