Daniel 8:9-11

English Standard Version

⁹Out of one of them came ^(A)a little horn, which grew exceedingly great toward ^(B)the south, toward the east, and toward ^(C)the glorious land. ¹⁰^(D)It grew great, ^(E)even to the host of heaven. And some of the host ^(F)and some^[a] of ^(G)the stars it threw down to the ground and ^(H)trampled on them. ¹¹^(I)It became great, even as great as ^(J)the Prince of the host. ^(K)And the regular burnt offering was taken away from him, and the place of his sanctuary was overthrown.

⁹And out of one of them came a rather ^(A)small horn which grew exceedingly great toward the south, toward the east, and toward the ^[a]^(B)Beautiful Land. ¹⁰It grew up to the heavenly ^[b]lights, and some of the ^[c]lights, ^[d]that is, some of the ^(C)stars it threw down to the earth, and it ^(D)trampled them. ¹¹It even ^(E)exalted itself ^[e]to be equal with the ^[f]Commander of the army; and it removed the ^(F)regular sacrifice from Him, and the place of His sanctuary was overthrown.
