²Isang gabi nakita ko na kabi-kabila ay binabayo ng malakas na hangin ang malaking dagat. ³Mula^(A) sa dagat ay may umahong apat na iba't ibang halimaw. ⁴Ang^(B) una ay parang leon, ngunit may mga pakpak ng agila; habang ako'y nakatingin, nabunot ang mga pakpak nito. Umangat ito sa lupa at tumayong parang tao. Binigyan ito ng isip ng tao.

²Daniel spoke, saying, “I saw in my vision by night, and behold, the four winds of heaven were stirring up the Great Sea. ³And four great beasts ^(A)came up from the sea, each different from the other. ⁴The first was ^(B)like a lion, and had eagle’s wings. I watched till its wings were plucked off; and it was lifted up from the earth and made to stand on two feet like a man, and a ^(C)man’s heart was given to it.

Then as I looked its wings were plucked off, and it was lifted up from the ground and made to stand on two feet like a man, and the mind of a man was given to it.
