⁷Kami pong mga tagapamahala ng kaharian, mga pinuno ng mga rehiyon, at mga tagapayo ay nagkakaisa ng palagay. Mabuti po'y ipag-utos ninyong sa loob ng tatlumpung araw ay walang sasamba o mananalangin sa ibang diyos o tao liban sa inyo. Sinumang hindi susunod sa utos na ito ay ihuhulog sa kulungan ng mga leon. ⁸Kaya, mahal na hari, magpalabas po kayo ng gayong kautusan at inyong lagdaan upang maging batas ng Media at Persia—batas na hindi mababago ni mapapawalang bisa.” ⁹At gayon nga ang ginawa ni Haring Dario.

New International Version

⁷The royal administrators, prefects, satraps, advisers and governors^(A) have all agreed that the king should issue an edict and enforce the decree that anyone who prays to any god or human being during the next thirty days, except to you, Your Majesty, shall be thrown into the lions’ den.^(B) ⁸Now, Your Majesty, issue the decree and put it in writing so that it cannot be altered—in accordance with the law of the Medes and Persians, which cannot be repealed.”^(C) ⁹So King Darius put the decree in writing.

⁷All the presidents of the kingdom, the governors, and the princes, the counsellors, and the captains, have consulted together to establish a royal statute, and to make a firm decree, that whosoever shall ask a petition of any God or man for thirty days, save of thee, O king, he shall be cast into the den of lions.

⁸Now, O king, establish the decree, and sign the writing, that it be not changed, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth not.

⁹Wherefore king Darius signed the writing and the decree.
