²²ay kayo po. Kayo ang lumakas at lumaking puno na abot sa langit na ang nasasakop ay hanggang sa magkabilang panig ng daigdig. ²³Ang bantay na inyong nakita ay isang anghel mula sa langit. Sinabi niyang ibubuwal ang punongkahoy at sisirain ngunit iiwan ang tuod nito at lalagyan ng tanikalang bakal at tanso. Sinabi pa niyang ito'y pababayaang mabasa ng hamog, at makakasama siya ng mga hayop sa parang at paparusahan sa loob ng pitong taon. ²⁴Ito po ang kahulugan, mahal na hari: Iyon ang hatol sa inyo ng Kataas-taasang Diyos.

²²It is thou, O king, that art grown and become strong: for thy greatness is grown, and reacheth unto heaven, and thy dominion to the end of the earth.

²³And whereas the king saw a watcher and an holy one coming down from heaven, and saying, Hew the tree down, and destroy it; yet leave the stump of the roots thereof in the earth, even with a band of iron and brass, in the tender grass of the field; and let it be wet with the dew of heaven, and let his portion be with the beasts of the field, till seven times pass over him;

²⁴This is the interpretation, O king, and this is the decree of the most High, which is come upon my lord the king:

²²Your Majesty, you are that tree!^(A) You have become great and strong; your greatness has grown until it reaches the sky, and your dominion extends to distant parts of the earth.^(B)

²³“Your Majesty saw a holy one,^(C) a messenger, coming down from heaven and saying, ‘Cut down the tree and destroy it, but leave the stump, bound with iron and bronze, in the grass of the field, while its roots remain in the ground. Let him be drenched with the dew of heaven; let him live with the wild animals, until seven times pass by for him.’^(D)
