Daniel 2:44-45
Christian Standard Bible
44 “In the days of those kings, the God of the heavens will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed,(A) and this kingdom will not be left to another people. It will crush all these kingdoms(B) and bring them to an end, but will itself endure forever. 45 You saw a stone(C) break off from the mountain without a hand touching it,[a](D) and it crushed the iron, bronze, fired clay, silver, and gold. The great God has told the king what will happen in the future.(E) The dream is certain, and its interpretation reliable.”

Reign of the Davidic King
11 Then a shoot will grow from the stump of Jesse,(A)
and a branch(B) from his roots will bear fruit.
2 The Spirit of the Lord will rest on him(C)—
a Spirit of wisdom and understanding,
a Spirit of counsel and strength,
a Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord.
3 His delight will be in the fear of the Lord.
He will not judge
by what he sees with his eyes,(D)
he will not execute justice
by what he hears with his ears,
4 but he will judge the poor righteously(E)
and execute justice for the oppressed of the land.
He will strike the land
with a scepter[a] from his mouth,(F)
and he will kill the wicked(G)
with a command[b] from his lips.(H)
5 Righteousness will be a belt around his hips;(I)
faithfulness will be a belt around his waist.
6 The wolf will dwell with the lamb,(J)
and the leopard will lie down with the goat.
The calf, the young lion, and the fattened calf will be together,
and a child will lead them.
7 The cow and the bear will graze,
their young ones will lie down together,
and the lion will eat straw like cattle.
8 An infant will play beside the cobra’s pit,
and a toddler will put his hand into a snake’s den.
9 They will not harm or destroy each other
on my entire holy mountain,
for the land will be as full
of the knowledge of the Lord
as the sea is filled with water.(K)

The Parable of the Growing Seed
26 “The kingdom of God(A) is like this,” he said. “A man scatters seed on the ground. 27 He sleeps(B) and rises(C) night(D) and day; the seed sprouts and grows, although he doesn’t know how. 28 The soil produces a crop(E) by itself—first the blade, then the head, and then the full grain(F) on the head. 29 As soon as the crop is ready, he sends for the sickle,(G) because the harvest(H) has come.”
The Parable of the Mustard Seed
30 And(I) he said, “With what can we compare the kingdom of God,(J) or what parable(K) can we use to describe it? 31 It’s like a mustard seed(L) that, when sown upon the soil, is the smallest of all the seeds on the ground. 32 And when sown,(M) it comes up and grows taller than all the garden plants,(N) and produces large branches, so that the birds of the sky(O) can nest in its shade.”

36 “My kingdom(A) is not of this world,” said Jesus. “If my kingdom were of this world,(B) my servants(C) would fight, so that I wouldn’t be handed over to the Jews. But as it is,[a] my kingdom is not from here.”(D)
37 “You are a king then?” Pilate asked.
“You say that I’m a king,” Jesus replied. “I was born for this, and I have come into the world(E) for this: to testify(F) to the truth.(G) Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice.”
