4 pero en cuanto se levante su reino, se dividirá y se esparcirá por los cuatro vientos del cielo, pero no entre sus descendientes ni con el mismo dominio que antes ejerció, porque su reino será arrancado de raíz y entregado a otros fuera de ellos.
5 »El rey del sur cobrará fuerza, pero uno de sus príncipes llegará a ser más fuerte y poderoso que él, y grande será su dominio. 6 Al cabo de algunos años habrá una alianza: la hija del rey del sur se casará con el rey del norte, y se hará la paz. Pero ella no podrá mantener su fuerza, ni él podrá permanecer en el poder, sino que ella será traicionada, junto con su hijo y los que la acompañaron, y con los que en ese tiempo estaban de su parte.

4 Pero cuando se haya levantado, su reino será quebrantado y repartido hacia los cuatro vientos del cielo; no a sus descendientes, ni según el dominio con que él dominó; porque su reino será arrancado, y será para otros fuera de ellos.
5 Y se hará fuerte el rey del sur; mas uno de sus príncipes será más fuerte que él, y se hará poderoso; su dominio será grande. 6 Al cabo de años harán alianza, y la hija del rey del sur vendrá al rey del norte para hacer la paz. Pero ella no podrá retener la fuerza de su brazo, ni permanecerá él, ni su brazo; porque será entregada ella y los que la habían traído, asimismo su hijo, y los que estaban de parte de ella en aquel tiempo.

4 After he has arisen, his empire will be broken up and parceled out toward the four winds of heaven.(A) It will not go to his descendants, nor will it have the power he exercised, because his empire will be uprooted(B) and given to others.
5 “The king of the South will become strong, but one of his commanders will become even stronger than he and will rule his own kingdom with great power. 6 After some years, they will become allies. The daughter of the king of the South will go to the king of the North to make an alliance, but she will not retain her power, and he and his power[a] will not last. In those days she will be betrayed, together with her royal escort and her father[b] and the one who supported her.
