I looked up, and there was a man dressed in linen,(A) with a belt of gold(B) from Uphaz[a](C) around his waist. His body was like topaz,[b] his face like the brilliance of lightning, his eyes like flaming torches,(D) his arms and feet like the gleam of polished bronze, and the sound of his words like the sound of a multitude.(E)

Only I, Daniel, saw the vision.(F) The men who were with me did not see it,(G) but a great terror fell on them,(H) and they ran and hid.

His body also was like the beryl, and his face as the appearance of lightning, and his eyes as lamps of fire, and his arms and his feet like in colour to polished brass, and the voice of his words like the voice of a multitude.

And I Daniel alone saw the vision: for the men that were with me saw not the vision; but a great quaking fell upon them, so that they fled to hide themselves.
