³ Then the king commanded Ashpenaz, ^(A)his chief eunuch, to bring some of the people of Israel, both of the royal family^[a] and of ^(B)the nobility,

^7 (A)And some of your own sons, who will come from you, whom you will father, shall be taken away, and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.”

¹⁷ Behold, the days are coming, when ^(A)all that is in your house, and that which your fathers have stored up till this day, shall be carried to Babylon. Nothing shall be left, says the Lord. ^18 (B)And some of your own sons, who will come from you, whom you will father, shall be taken away, ^(C)and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.”

^15 (A)And he carried away Jehoiachin to Babylon. The king's mother, the king's wives, his officials, and the chief men of the land he took into captivity from Jerusalem to Babylon.

41 ^(A)In the seventh month, Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, son of Elishama, of the royal family, one of the chief officers of the king, came with ten men to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, at ^(B)Mizpah. As they ^(C)ate bread together there at Mizpah,
