Colossians 3:2-10

New International Version

² Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.^{(A) 3} For you died,^(B) and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. ⁴ When Christ, who is your^[a] life,^(C) appears,^(D) then you also will appear with him in glory.^(E)

⁵ Put to death,^(F) therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature:^(G) sexual immorality,^(H) impurity, lust, evil desires and greed,^(I) which is idolatry.^{(J) 6} Because of these, the wrath of God^(K) is coming.^{[b] 7} You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived.^{(L) 8} But now you must also rid yourselves^(M) of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander,^(N) and filthy language from your lips.^{(O) 9} Do not lie to each other,^(P) since you have taken off your old self^(Q) with its practices ¹⁰ and have put on the new self,^(R) which is being renewed^(S) in knowledge in the image of its Creator.^(T)
