8 [a]Beware lest there be any man that [b]spoil you through philosophy, and vain deceit, [c]through the traditions of men, [d]according to the [e]rudiments of the world, [f]and not after Christ.

- Colossians 2:8 He bringeth all corruptions to three kinds: The first is that, which resteth of vain and curious speculations, and yet beareth a show of a certain subtle wisdom.
