10 “If anyone is to go into captivity,
into captivity they will go.
If anyone is to be killed[a] with the sword,
with the sword they will be killed.”[b](A)
This calls for patient endurance and faithfulness(B) on the part of God’s people.(C)
The Beast out of the Earth
11 Then I saw a second beast, coming out of the earth.(D) It had two horns like a lamb, but it spoke like a dragon.(E) 12 It exercised all the authority(F) of the first beast on its behalf,(G) and made the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast,(H) whose fatal wound had been healed.(I)

Here patient endurance and confidence are needed by the saints.
The Beast From the Earth
11 Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth. He had two horns like the Lamb, and he spoke like the dragon. 12 He exercises all the authority of the first beast on his behalf. He causes the earth and those who make their home on it to worship the first beast, whose mortal wound was healed.
