³³ I will scatter^(A) you among the nations^(B) and will draw out my sword^(C) and pursue you. Your land will be laid waste,^(D) and your cities will lie in ruins.^(E)

¹¹ “Therefore this is what the Lord Almighty,^(A) the God of Israel, says: I am determined to bring disaster^(B) on you and to destroy all Judah.

¹⁰ I have determined to do this city harm^(A) and not good, declares the Lord. It will be given into the hands^(B) of the king of Babylon, and he will destroy it with fire.’^(C)

¹² A third of your people will die of the plague or perish by famine inside you; a third will fall by the sword outside your walls; and a third I will scatter to the winds^(A) and pursue with drawn sword.^(B)

⁶³ Just as it pleased^(A) the Lord to make you prosper and increase in number, so it will please^(B) him to ruin and destroy you.^(C) You will be uprooted^(D) from the land you are entering to possess.

⁶⁴ Then the Lord will scatter^(E) you among all nations,^(F) from one end of the earth to the other.^(G) There you will worship other gods—gods of wood and stone, which neither you nor your ancestors have known.^{(H) 65} Among those nations you will find no repose, no resting place^(I) for the sole of your foot. There the Lord will give you an anxious mind, eyes^(J) weary with longing, and a despairing heart.^(K)

¹⁰ “‘I will set my face against any Israelite or any foreigner residing among them who eats blood,^(A) and I will cut them off from the people.

² When the days of your siege come to an end, burn^(A) a third^(B) of the hair inside the city. Take a third and strike it with the sword all around the city. And scatter a third to the wind.^(C) For I will pursue them with drawn sword.^(D)
