Amos 9:10-12

¹⁰ All the sinners among my people^(A)
who say, “Disaster will never overtake^[a]
or confront us,”^(B)
will die by the sword.

¹¹ In that day
I will restore the fallen shelter^(C) of David:^(D)
I will repair its gaps,
restore its ruins,^(E)
and rebuild it as in the days of old,^(F)
12 so that they may possess
the remnant of Edom^(G)
and all the nations
that bear my name^[b](H)—
this is the declaration of the Lord; he will do this.
