Do not seek Bethel(A)
or go to Gilgal(B)
or journey to Beer-sheba,(C)
for Gilgal will certainly go into exile,
and Bethel will come to nothing.
Seek the Lord(D) and live,
or he will spread like fire(E)
throughout the house of Joseph;
it will consume everything
with no one at Bethel to extinguish it.(F)
Those who turn justice into wormwood(G)
also throw righteousness to the ground.
