⁹ And he was three days without sight, and neither ate nor drank.

¹⁶ “Go, gather all the Jews who are present in ^[a]Shushan, and fast for me; neither eat nor drink for ^(A)three days, night or day. My maids and I will fast likewise. And so I will go to the king, which is against the law; ^(B)and if I perish, I perish!”

Death of Manasseh^(A)

¹⁸ Now the rest of the acts of Manasseh, his prayer to his God, and the words of ^(B)the seers who spoke to him in the name of the Lord God of Israel, indeed they are written in the ^[a]book of the kings of Israel. ¹⁹ Also his prayer and how God received his entreaty, and all his sin and trespass, and the sites where he built ^[b]high places and set up wooden images and carved images, before he was humbled, indeed they are written among the sayings of ^[c]Hozai.

⁶ Then word came to the king of Nineveh; and he arose from his throne and laid aside his robe, covered himself with sackcloth ^(A)and sat in ashes. ^7 (B)And he caused it to be proclaimed and published throughout Nineveh by the decree of the king and his ^[a]nobles, saying,

¹² Now when he was in affliction, he implored the Lord his God, and ^(A)humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers, ¹³ and prayed to Him; and He ^(B)received his entreaty, heard his supplication, and brought him back to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh ^(C)knew that the Lord was God.

¹¹ So the Lord said to him, “Arise and go to the street called Straight, and inquire at the house of Judas for one called Saul ^(A)of Tarsus, for behold, he is praying. ¹² And in a vision he has seen a man named Ananias coming in and putting his hand on him, so that he might receive his sight.”
