Friends, listen to me. Our glorious God appeared to our ancestor Abraham while he was still in Mesopotamia, before he had moved to Haran.

³ God told him, “Leave your country and your relatives and go to a land that I will show you.”

^8 (A) Abraham had faith and obeyed God. He was told to go to the land that God had said would be his, and he left for a country he had never seen.
