Paul before the Council

23 Now looking intently at ^(A)the ^[a]Council, Paul said, “^[b](B)Brothers, ^(C)I have ^[c]lived my life with an entirely good conscience before God up to this day.”

¹⁶ In view of this ^(A)I also do my best to maintain a blameless conscience both before God and before other people, always.

⁵ But the goal of our ^[a](A)instruction is love ^(B)from a pure heart, from a ^(C)good conscience, and from a sincere ^(D)faith.
