31 As they went about to kill him, a report came to the high captain of the soldiers that all Jerusalem was in an uproar. 32 He immediately took soldiers and centurions and ran down to them. When they saw the high captain and the soldiers, the people stopped beating Paul. 33 Then the captain came near and took him, and commanded him to be bound with two chains, and demanded who he was and what he had done.
