3 And tongues, like flames of fire that were divided, appeared to them and rested on each one of them. 4 Then they were all filled(A) with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in different languages, as the Spirit gave them ability for speech.(B)
5 There were Jews living in Jerusalem, devout men from every nation(C) under heaven.

3 They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. 4 All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit(A) and began to speak in other tongues[a](B) as the Spirit enabled them.
5 Now there were staying in Jerusalem God-fearing(C) Jews from every nation under heaven.
