Acts 19:13-15

New International Version

¹³Some Jews who went around driving out evil spirits^(A) tried to invoke the name of the Lord Jesus over those who were demon-possessed. They would say, “In the name of the Jesus^(B) whom Paul preaches, I command you to come out.” ¹⁴Seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, were doing this. ¹⁵One day the evil spirit answered them, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know about, but who are you?”

¹³Then some of the itinerant Jewish ^(A)exorcists ^(B)undertook to invoke the name of the Lord Jesus over those who had evil spirits, saying, ^(C)“I adjure you by the Jesus whom Paul proclaims.” ¹⁴Seven sons of a Jewish high priest named Sceva were doing this. ¹⁵But the evil spirit answered them, ^(D)“Jesus I know, and Paul I recognize, but who are you?”
