⁶Det skall ätas samma dag som ni offrar det eller följande dag. Det som blir över till tredje dagen skall brännas upp i eld. ⁷Om det äts på tredje dagen, är det en styggelse och blir inte mottaget. ⁸Den som äter av det måste bära sin skuld, ty han har ohelgat det som var helgat åt Herren, och han skall utrotas ur sitt folk.

Leviticus 19:6-8

New International Version

⁶It shall be eaten on the day you sacrifice it or on the next day; anything left over until the third day must be burned up.^(A) ⁷If any of it is eaten on the third day, it is impure and will not be accepted.^(B) ⁸Whoever eats it will be held responsible^(C) because they have desecrated what is holy^(D) to the Lord; they must be cut off from their people.^(E)
