7 Habe ich etwa ein Unrecht begangen, als ich euch Gottes rettende Botschaft verkündet habe, ohne etwas für meinen Lebensunterhalt zu erwarten? Zu euren Gunsten habe ich auf alles verzichtet und mich selbst erniedrigt, um euch zu ehren. 8 Weil ich euch dienen wollte, habe ich andere Gemeinden geradezu beraubt und Geld von ihnen genommen. 9 Auch als ich während meines Aufenthaltes bei euch in Not geriet, musstet ihr nichts für mich zahlen. Zu Hilfe kamen mir die Gemeinden aus Mazedonien. Sie ließen mir durch einige Brüder etwas zukommen, so dass ich euch niemals zur Last gefallen bin. Und dabei wird es auch in Zukunft bleiben. 10 So wahr Christus in mir lebt und er die Wahrheit ist: Niemand in der ganzen Provinz Achaja wird mir diesen Ruhm nehmen können! 11 Verzichte ich etwa auf eure Unterstützung, weil ich euch nicht liebe? Gott weiß, wie sehr ich euch liebe!

7 Was it a sin(A) for me to lower myself in order to elevate you by preaching the gospel of God(B) to you free of charge?(C) 8 I robbed other churches by receiving support from them(D) so as to serve you. 9 And when I was with you and needed something, I was not a burden to anyone, for the brothers who came from Macedonia supplied what I needed.(E) I have kept myself from being a burden to you(F) in any way, and will continue to do so. 10 As surely as the truth of Christ is in me,(G) nobody in the regions of Achaia(H) will stop this boasting(I) of mine. 11 Why? Because I do not love you? God knows(J) I do!(K)

7 Have I committed an offence in abasing myself that ye might be exalted, because I have preached to you the gospel of God freely?
8 I robbed other churches, taking wages of them, to do you service.
9 And when I was present with you, and wanted, I was chargeable to no man: for that which was lacking to me the brethren which came from Macedonia supplied: and in all things I have kept myself from being burdensome unto you, and so will I keep myself.
10 As the truth of Christ is in me, no man shall stop me of this boasting in the regions of Achaia.
11 Wherefore? because I love you not? God knoweth.
