^12 (A)When your days are finished and you ^[a](B)lie down with your fathers, ^(C)I will raise up your ^[b]descendant after you, who will come from ^[c]you, and I will establish his kingdom.

^13 (A)He shall build a house for My name, and ^(B)I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever.

²⁵ Now then, Lord, God of Israel, keep with Your servant David my father that which You have ^[a]promised him, saying, ‘^[b](A)You shall not be deprived of a man to sit on the throne of Israel, if only your sons are careful about their way, to walk before Me as you have walked.’

⁵ then ^(A)I will establish the throne of your kingdom over Israel forever, just as I ^[a]promised to your father David, saying, ‘^[b]You shall not be deprived of a man on the throne of Israel.’
