¹¹ But my counsel is that all Israel be gathered to you, ^(A)from Dan to Beersheba, ^(B)as the sand by the sea for multitude, and that you go to battle in person.

² So the king said to Joab, the commander of the army,^[a] who was with him, “Go through all the tribes of Israel, ^(A)from Dan to Beersheba, and number the people, that I may know the number of the people.”

^15 (A)So the Lord sent a pestilence on Israel from the morning until the appointed time. And there died of the people from ^(B)Dan to Beersheba 70,000 men.

Israel's War with the Tribe of Benjamin

20 Then ^(A)all the people of Israel came out, ^(B)from Dan to Beersheba, including the land of Gilead, and the congregation assembled as one man to the Lord at ^(C)Mizpah.

²⁰ And all Israel ^(A)from Dan to Beersheba knew that Samuel was established as a prophet of the Lord.

²⁵ And Judah and Israel ^(A)lived in safety, ^(B)from Dan even to Beersheba, ^(C)every man under his vine and under his fig tree, all the days of Solomon.
