20 Absalom her brother said to her, “Was Amnon your brother with you? But now, my sister, be quiet; he is your brother. Do not take this matter to heart.”[a] So Tamar remained a desolate woman in the house of Absalom her brother.
Absalom Kills Amnon
21 Now King David heard all these things, and he became very angry.[b] 22 Absalom did not speak with Amnon either bad or good,[c] for Absalom hated Amnon over the matter when[d] he raped Tamar his sister.

20 Her brother Absalom said to her, “Has that Amnon, your brother, been with you? Be quiet for now, my sister; he is your brother. Don’t take this thing to heart.” And Tamar lived in her brother Absalom’s house, a desolate woman.
21 When King David heard all this, he was furious.(A) 22 And Absalom never said a word to Amnon, either good or bad;(B) he hated(C) Amnon because he had disgraced his sister Tamar.
